Becka's entrepreneurial journey, rooted in a childhood fascination with buttons, has transformed into a thriving business. Our Story: Our journey commenced in 2011 as a sole proprietorship in Tacoma, Washington. Becka's first button, a gift from Ramblin' Rod at the age of 3, ignited a lifelong obsession. By 8, she was crafting buttons at every opportunity. In 2016, we relaunched as an LLC, expanded to vend at events across the West Coast. The Button Shoppe: In September 2021, I realized my dream by opening "The Button Shoppe" in Salem, Oregon. It's not just about buttons; it's a space that celebrates creativity and community connections. Beyond Buttons: Becka's journey transcends crafting; it's deeply personal. Buttons have helped her overcome depressive disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse. They've become a means to spread love and connect within our community. Community Engagement: Alongside crafting buttons, we offer button parties for birthdays, corporate events, and schools. Becka is also a registered volunteer with Salem/Keizer public schools, dedicating time to working with youth and her recovery community. A New Chapter: In August 2023, The Button Shoppe closed, marking a fresh beginning. Becka is spearheading "Radness Ensues," a nonprofit collective elevating community engagement, and will reopen the button shoppe when a location is locked in for the nonprofit.
