Serving Families across Canada for Over Three Generations. Becker Shoes is one of the longest operating family owned Canadian shoe stores. In 1933, Clarence Becker opened the first Becker Shoes store in downtown Hanover, Ontario. Taking the time to get to know each customer and their family personally, made his business a success and a cornerstone of the community. His son Earl continued the tradition of personal service and selection and expanded the business with a second store in Collingwood, Ontario. The growth continued throughout the 90's and into the new millennium, when grandson Doug Becker took over the business. Now with fourteen stores across Ontario and an online store, Becker Shoes is still run by the Becker family. The shoe business has come a long way in the last 85 years. The Becker Shoes locations of today offer the latest fashions with quality brands like Clarks, Cougar, Birkenstock, Bernie Mev, Blundstones, Dr. Martens, Rieker, Naot, New Balance, Sorel, Merrell, Keen, Miz Mooz, Mjus and so many more. However, some things never change.
