Beijing No. 55 High School
Beijing No. 55 High School is a full-time public middle and high school under direct supervision of Beijing's Dongcheng District Education Committee. It is a key middle school in Beijing and a model high school in Beijing. The school was founded in 1954, and in 1975, it became the first public high school in Beijing to recruit foreign students. In 1994, it was established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization as the first international diploma school in Mainland China. Since then, it has educated many government officials, both foreign and domestic and their families. The school has two campuses, the south and the north, with a campus construction area of square meters, a school building covering an area of 29,331.48 square meters, 258 faculty members, 36 teaching classes in the Chinese section, and 24 international departments.
