Belco Works

The mission of Belco Works is to facilitate choices that provide diverse and meaningful opportunities to enhance the quality of life for the people we serve. Our vision is to be the “provider of choice” for the people we serve who have a desire to work and contribute to their community. We support individuals in choices that maximize independence and success on their chosen path. Our Community Employment Services help adults prepare for and find rewarding employment in the community. We provide the support each individual needs to find a job that meets his/her strengths and interests and succeed as an employee working in the business world. To ensure a smooth transition, we provide pre-employment training to help equip adults with important job and workplace skills. Then our job coaches work right alongside each new employee helping them to master job skills and succeed. Our adult day support program, Tomorrow’s Corner, provides adults in a non-residential setting, a fun and creative place to enhance skills for personal growth, independence, and natural supports. We go above and beyond the basics providing opportunities in the areas, of art, music, learning, nature, exercise, relaxation, and sensory stimulation. This helps individuals develop and sustain a meaningful social life, and personal choice, in order to attain or maintain maximum potential. Also can include volunteer opportunities, or used when individuals are not at work. Our Facility Based Employment provides vocational skills training in a sheltered workshop setting. Belco Works subcontracts with many local and national manufacturers, providing regular earnings and a sense accomplishment for participants. We offer job training and paid work with jobs tailored to the skills and abilities of each individual. Job opportunities at Belco Works include document shredding, assembly, packaging, sorting, mail prep, wood products, and more.
