Belgrade Orienteering Association

Belgrade orienteering association was founded in 1998 with one main task - to develop orienteering sport in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. BOA at the moment consists of 10 clubs (orienteering clubs, orienteering associations, mountaineering sports clubs, sports clubs and athletic-orienteering clubs). All 10 clubs are members of Serbian orienteering association too. BOA is nonprofit sports association that is financing by own funds, but City of Belgrade - Secretariat for sport and youth is co-financing most of the competitions and projects. We organize orienteering competitions, training-camps, seminars and co-finance the clubs in work with youngsters (up to 20 y.o.). We try to sponsor best senior orienteers too, but it is really hard because not many companies want to sponsor our sport. Territory of Belgrade at the moment has over 60 mapped areas and terrains (forest and urban areas) for orienteering and you can check all the maps at our website.
