Belvoir Media

Belvoir Media is a blog-based business generating an income from affiliate marketing, and offering services in blog post research and writing for third parties including individuals, small businesses and charities. When I started Belvoir Media in 2021 it was initially a virtual assistant business offering services in administration, design, writing and social media management for clients. I quickly learned that the services being offered were too broad and struggled in the first few months to settle on a niche which inhibited growth of the business. During 2022 I re-evaluated the business model and established a core channel of marketing with blog posts and focusing on offering blogging services to clients. Many businesses and charities benefit from having a blog because it increases their visibility digitally; it's a low-cost and simple way for websites to show up in search-engine results and drive more organic traffic to a site. Having a blog also opens up opportunities for building an email marketing strategy, improving social media exposure and sharing more in-depth information about the organisation whilst projecting a relatable persona. As well as blog posts, I have also retained the additional services of social media management and brand design for my existing clients which include some charities, and have a growing relationship with them where industry relevant blogging may become a part of their future.
