Benevolent Bully Rescue

CHARITY #791474265 BBR is a volunteer-run dog rescue based out of southern Ontario. We are a volunteer group with no paid staff. Our organization runs strictly on a network of volunteers who assess, foster, and help rehabilitate dogs that come into our program. BBR rescues predominantly brachycephalic (flat faced) breeds, such as English Bulldogs, American Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Mastiffs and other bull breed dogs. Our mission is to find loving families for unwanted, homeless, or abused dogs. Our goal is to provide the care and time needed to prepare unwanted animals for placement and to help them find responsible, stable, and loving new homes. Our rescue dogs come from owner surrenders, local shelters, high-kill shelters, and many are puppy mill survivors. We do our best to find each of these dogs the most suitable home. We are deeply committed to healing any physical and emotional wounds these animals have suffered. We are also dedicated to educating the public about proper dog ownership, food and health choices, the importance of routine and exercise and discrediting many myths that come along with rescue and bull breed dogs. BBR does not have a physical shelter. All of our dogs are placed into foster homes waiting for their forever homes. Each dog that comes into our care is examined by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, and brought up-to-date on all shots before being placed. We rely solely on donations to finance veterinary fees such as exams, vaccinations, medications, microchipping, and surgeries, as well as the day to day costs like food and supplies that our rescue dogs need while in foster care.
