A family-owned and operated business incorporated in 1949. We handle all lines of Insurance Investigations and settlements. Our founder and former Chairman of the Board, Benjamin Acosta, Sr, started in the Insurance field in the mid-1930s, with the present name becoming known in 1948. His son, Joaquin Acosta, joined the family operation in 1972 and has presided over the company for over three decades. Today, three of his sons, Joaquin Jr, Ricardo, and Gabriel, are third-generation Acosta’s involved with the firm. We have maintained and continue to operate under the same moral and intellectual integrity that has characterized us for approximately eighty-five (85) years. During this time, we have had the privilege and honor to look after the interests of Insurers, Reinsurers, Excess Insurers, as well as our customers - the Insureds. Benj Acosta has served the industry through the years, assisting with investigations throughout the island, the continental United States, the Caribbean, in addition to Mexico, Central, and South America. Historically recognized as the leading All Lines Adjuster in Puerto Rico, we have been nominated adjusters by both the Insured and Underwriters on substantial and/or complicated matters. These include Commonwealth Government Agencies, such as the 78 Municipalities of Puerto Rico and the Department of Education, in addition to several large commercial accounts. Catastrophe Experience Since 1937 we have handled numerous catastrophes in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Central and South America, including major hurricanes, earthquakes, floods and fires.
