Bequester

Bequester operates three distinct platforms which come together to provide opportunities for the small business (SMME) sector. Bequester Biz is the core platform, which allows SMMEs to register on our Supplier Database and be able to trade amongst each other. Originating a trade is based on a business either creating a Request for Quotes (publishing intention to purchase goods and services), which other businesses may bid on; and/or creating a Product/Service Offer (to sell a product and/or service to other SMMEs in the marketplace at discounted prices). As an e-commerce platform, transactions between businesses are completed on the platform, with the next step (outside of the platform) being the delivery of the product and/or service. Bequester Biz also gives SMMEs access to Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Opportunities, which have been created and published by large organisations as part of their ESD initiatives. Bequester Ent.Dev (SA only) is an ESD platform which enable large organisations to create and publish ESD opportunities targeted at SMMEs. Bequester Ent.Dev is integrated to Bequester Biz, giving large organisations access to the Supplier Database, which is categorised by City, Business Category, Annual Turnover, Youth Ownership, Women Ownership, Persons with Disability Ownership, HDI Ownership and status. All ESD opportunities are published on Bequester Biz and SMMEs are notified of these via their emails. Bequester Enterprise is a cloud based platform for large organisation (incl. Government), which manages their procurement processes, including managing their own supplier database. Instead of organisations having to send Request for Quotes by email or fax, these are published on the platform and accessible to suppliers through the organisation’s website.
