BetaCONCEPT is a Software R&D company. It utilizes cutting edge open source technologies and in-house innovative tools and algorithms to create applications and services around the Semantic Web and Semi-Structured Data Repositories. The company has created and continuously develops a "Semi-Structured Information Management" platform enabling users and machines to collect, search, share, mashup, curate and federate semi-structured data. At the core of the platform lies the ASTROBOA semantic repository engine which stores data as a graph of nodes and properties. The platform offers tools where anyone can easily describe the attributes of items, things or entities and create in a snap repositories to store and share their modeled data. Users can continuously evolve their data model while the platform uses the model to automatically create web forms for entering data, and RESTful APIs for data sharing and mashup. Among the projects powered by Astroboa engine are governmental portals, websites, e-infrastructures and individual research programs. Internet is quickly transforming from a web of pages to a database of human knowledge. In this direction, BetaCONCEPT seeks to provide evolving, inherently searchable and mashable repositories of semi-structured data. These repositories connect people and devices (especially mobile) and provide tools that empower users to maintain and curate their data, and developers to easily turn them into useful applications.
