BetaRisk was born by the initiative of academicians with experience in the fields of finance and risk management. It aims is to advise non financial corporations in measuring and managing exposures to financial risks, such as interest rate risk, exchange rate risk and commodity price risk. The BetaRisk approach is grounded in the idea that a highly turbulent, unforeseeable and competitive business environment makes necessary for firms to manage financial risks. These, in fact, can have a strong impact both on profit and losses accounts and on the self financing capability. Risk management implies the usage of financial instruments that, in turn, can result to be extremely risky and potentially detrimental.
