At Bethune K-8 School we ensure quality academic standards, social accountability, and an inviting learning environment for all thru the help of our parents/guardians, students, teachers, and staff working as a team to accomplish a mutual mission. Our mission, “To provide a safe learning environment for our students and faculty. We believe instilling self-Respect and Respect for others throughout our school fostering a prodigious setting for your child's development.” Our vision aids in boosting your child’s Imagination by allowing him/her to become Inspired, thus promoting Innovative solutions for a better tomorrow!” We are keen on partaking in S.T.E.A.M. professional development programs for our teachers and pathways for our students. For example, our PLTW- Gateway to Technology course teaches Energy and Environmental to 6th graders and Automation and Robotics to 7th and 8th graders and Design and Modeling to all participants via activity based projects/ problems providing essential skills needed in the workforce. Furthermore, we have various electives such as, Spanish, ASB, Choir, Orchestra, and Band allowing students to embrace their individuality.
