Better Block KC is an organization that helps Kansas City visualize the potential for great, walkable and vibrant neighborhoods. Through the coordination of a strong design team and the help of local volunteers, Better Block KC gives Kansas Citians the opportunity to feel the impact of investing in their neighborhoods. Our mission through volunteer efforts, donated materials and community input, is to help neighborhoods visualize, interact with, and temporarily transform their city streets to become safer for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles. Our temporary installations give community members the opportunity to collaborate with their neighbors to make their public spaces the best representation of their history, culture and future.
