Beyond Disabilities

Mission: Our mission is to inform individuals around the world that if you’re disabled you are just like everyone else… just living life in a different way. Goals: Beyond Disabilities was created to educate the public about what it is like to live a disabled life. One of the main goals of Beyond Disabilities is to spread the word that disabled people are capable of many accomplishments. Through Beyond Disabilities, we would like to positively affect the lives of other disabled individuals as well as motivate all people whether disabled or not. In addition to this, we want to inspire everyone else around us to strive to accomplish their goals at their own pace. Beyond Disabilities will continue to spread the word through speaking engagements at schools, local clubs, churches and businesses. As a motivational speaker, Steve Ferreira aims to raise disability awareness within each and every community he addresses. Although it is apparent that Steve has a physical disability (Cerebral Palsy), most people do not understand, or at the least acknowledge, that everyone has some sort of disability. Disabilities can manifest in any manner whether it be physical, emotional, social, etc. The real question at hand becomes this: why are visibly disabled persons treated differently? The answer is simple; most people do not fully understand our disabilities. Though we may progress at a different or slower pace in our lives, we are still capable of achieving anything we set my minds to achieve. The goal of Beyond Disabilities is to spread this word through motivational speaking and athletics and try to spread this way of life throughout the communities with which we come into contact.
