I founded two tech startups, served as senior vice president of strategy at Atari, spent 16 years as a partner at McKinsey & Company, and 13 years as a partner at Deloitte leading the global Center for the Edge research hub. The irony? I had never used a computer, never studied technology, and had no background in the field. Friends thought I was crazy to pack up, move across the country, and start a computer company.
