Beyond Woodworking

Having an interest in woodworking following shop classes in high school, Erick (Owner of Beyond Woodworking) started his career through apprenticing under master craftsmen in a small boutique woodworking shop specializing in old world woodworking techniques and period furniture. He continued his training in a residential commercial cabinet shop and worked with such clients as the Sheraton National Hotel and the Pentagon. Founding Beyond Woodworking in 2008, some of his commercial clients include Penn State University, Beaver Stadium, Nittany Lion Inn, Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center, St. Francis University, Basilica of St. Michael, and various churches within the Diocese of Phoenix to include the Mt. Claret Retreat Center. Subcontracting with other shops, he has collaborated on custom display cases for both the Heard Museum and Scottsdale Museum of the West. In conjunction with commercial clients, Erick works with homeowners, as well as general contractors and interior designers, to custom build one-of-a-kind furniture and heirloom pieces, entertainment centers, built-in units, and office furniture. Erick specializes in full custom kitchen, island, and bathroom cabinetry, to include modification and refacing existing cabinets.
