Bhattacharjee Fleck & Associates

Kaberi Bhattacharjee, M.A, M.Ed, Educational Specialist- Mrs. Bhattacharjee has taught for seventeen years. She started her teaching career as an eighth grade Social Science and SDAIE (Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English) teacher. She then decided to move into Special Education. She had taught middle school Special Day Class at her local school district. For the past twelve years she had been teaching at the post-secondary grade level in a Non-Public School (NPS). During the past eight years she had enjoyed mentoring new intern teachers by working as their site support provider. She had watched with pride and joy as her intern teachers became successful special education teachers not only in her school site but in their role as special education teachers in different school districts. During her tenure at her NPS, Mrs. Bhattacharjee had been actively involved in several leadership roles as well as in parent and community outreach programs. She had enjoyed her role of connecting, supporting, and educating her students with special needs and watching them successfully graduate from her post-secondary grade level and transition into their adult lives. Mrs. Bhattacharjee was the recipient of an Excellence Award 2015 from Pacific Autism Center for Education (PACE) school. Laurie Fleck, B.S and Educational Specialist- Mrs. Fleck had been teaching at the middle school level for sixteen years. She had mentored new Special Ed teachers throughout her career. She was also involved in the PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Systems) program implemented at her school as an active committee member. A highlight of her career was receiving Teacher of the Year two times. Mrs. Fleck had taught in a variety of Specialized Academic Instructional (SAI) settings: including small group, separate setting, Pull-Out class, Push-In/Inclusion/Co-Teaching setting, a Pull-Out, separate setting, and Resource class.
