Bibury Trout Farm

Although we are open to the public, we are a working trout farm producing hundreds and thousands of trout a year. We produce three types of trout - Brown, Blue and Rainbow - which we sell to fisheries, fish farm, angling clubs; and private lake, reservoirs and rivers throughout the country. We also supply a number of pubs and restaurants in the Cotswolds, and have our own fishery on site which is hugely popular in the summer. Our customers can buy trout at varying stages of their life cycle - as eggs, fry (baby fish) or fully grown fish. Our smokery - We have our own smokery on site. Our trout are smoked daily by traditional methods using three different techniques - hot smoking, cold smoking and light smoking. Our Hathchery - The hatchery at Bibury Trout Farm was redesigned in the early 1980's to fulfil the needs of the farm. It is fed from the worlds famous Bibury Spring which is of excellent quality and remails at a constant temperature of 10 degrees celsius. At Bibury Trout farm we also have : Catch your own - open from March to October Thursday to Sunday, all Bank holidays, and daily during school holidays and half terms. BBQ's - 8 to choose from: 5 come with gazebos and 3 without gazebos. The barbecues are very popular so booking in advance is essential. Crazy Golf - Suitable for all ages and abilities, we have golf clubs of all sizes and no experience needed. Open daily 10am to 5pm, £3.50 per person. No advance booking, just come along on the day. Our Cafe - Open daily with plenty of outdoor seating, serving a delicious menu of trout dishes, toasties, salads, soups, home made cakes and ice creams, no need to pre book. Our Gift Shop - Come and visit our delightful gift shop where you can find Exquiste William Morris designs in china, crockery and textiles; beautiful English soaps, and locally produced lavender products.
