Big Bear Mentors

Big Bear Mentors fill a gap many First-Generation students face. These students often have minimal exposure to what college is, and likely do not have a true understanding of all its benefits, nor what they need to do to get there. The mentors of this program lived through these same challenges as First-Generation students themselves, and are now a resource for these younger students. Big Bear Mentors demonstrate opportunities of a higher education. With diverse educational backgrounds and careers, our mentors aim to educate, support, and motivate.
