Big River Grille & Brewing Works was born out of a passion for fresh, handcrafted beer and premium, made-from-scratch regional cuisine. The original location opened in 1993 in Chattanooga, TN, and is located in a historic trolley barn, just steps away from the Tennessee River. In days gone by, it was here that fresh grains and produce were off-loaded for use by local merchants including mills, markets and, of course, breweries. At Big River, the riverboat heritage is echoed in our award-winning lagers, ales and innovative menu. A combination of an on-site brewery, extraordinary regional cuisine, and commitment to hospitality deliver a fun and deliciously entertaining experience to Every Guest, Every Time, which happens to be our mission. Big River is now owned and operated by CraftWorks Restaurants and Breweries, Inc, and includes multiple locations while holding onto its riverboat charm.
