BREDA i.e. Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency, has been established to promote development of schemes on non- conventional energy sources. It has been nominated as nodal agency to carry out the remote village electrification program. The State Govt. provides plan funds to BREDA for expenditure on subsidies for the schemes and also for the expenditures on establishment. BREDA is one of the premier organizations and has been working in the field of renewable energy development and energy conservation and is registered under society registration 1860 act in 1987.
