Builders of custom bicycle wheels and DVDs describing basic bicycle maintenance procedures and detailed instructions on how to build bicycle wheels from their components. Many cyclists I have encountered say that they know just about everything about bicycles except how to build wheels. I made a two-hour, high-definition DVD that explains and illustrates the complete process. The DVD also explains how to tension existing wheels, how to use a truing stand, how to use a tensiometer to access the condition of existing wheels, how to select components, torsion loads on wheels, the concept of "dish", the physics of wheels and what gives them their strength, how to measure components for spoke length calculation, how to achieve perfect consistency in spoke tension, and much more.
