Binara Foundation

BINARA Foundation is a non-profit organization constituted in 2021 at the Ministerio de Ambiente, Agua y Transición Ecológica del Ecuador, MAATE, whose mission is the protection of the biodiversity of Ecuador and the communities that depend on it. Its purpose is to make the world a better place for all and all. For this, decisions based on evidence are made and is reversed in long-term impact actions. In alliance with private companies, private donors, cooperation agencies and national and local governments BINARA Foundation support the work of nonprofit organizations; micro, small and medium enterprises; water funds; networks, associations and cooperatives of the popular and solidarity economy; small and medium agricultural producers; indigenous organizations; and, urban collectives through the channeling of monetary and non-monetary resources to protect, conserve and restore key ecosystems and ecosystem services for life in Ecuador and for the populations that depend on them. BINARA Foundation acknowledges that the protection of biodiversity implies a joint work with the local inhabitants in the search for dignified and sustainable livelihoods for them and their families so its integral development is its priority.
