BioCepts International, Inc.(BCI) is a broadly-based biotechnology development firm founded in 1997 as a Florida corporation. BCI was established to provide a wide assortment of professional biotechnology services to support and refine the business of aquaculture and to resolve related environmental and resource issues impeding the industry's development. With the company's senior management's experience in RAS and aquaponic R&D dating back to the 1970s, long history of commercial aquaculture production system development, the company's management has refocused its interest in RAS technology. This decision was made in light of coming critical global food production issues related to the confluence of peak petroleum and peak phosphates. Its ongoing/in progress development of the ISRAS (integrated Species Recirculating Aquaculture Systems) concept defines the company's view of the critical resource limitations and economic challenges facing aquaculture production in coming years, as well what it sees as opportunities for increased profits from existing inputs.
