Conopeptides are small peptides (10-30 amino acids) with selectivity and high-affinity properties for many human receptors and may be used in pharmacological research (especially ion channels), for drug discovery screening and as a potential therapeutic itself. Over the last decade, several conopeptides have been identified with therapeutic potential for: • neurodegenerative diseases, • cardiovascular diseases, • cancer, • pain and inflammation.
