Biomedia® has passed rigorous testing and is compliant with various international tests. The Biomedia® substrate will biodegrade to dust in under five years in a micro-organism present environment. This means that in landfill conditions, a Biomedia® printed product will have returned to the earth leaving very little trace it was ever there within two to five years, unlike PVC which would have remained intact or broken into smaller pieces and become harmful to wildlife. Alternatively Biomedia can be recycled where many traditional substrates cannot.
