Biopower Capital is a venture capital and private equity company dedicated to finance and develop renewable energy ventures in Latin America. We create solid waste recovery (industrial, agriculture and domestic) projects both to produce energy products (power, steam, heat, clean biofuels) in areas where the biomass is located, a strong energy demand exists and employment is key supply power to natural resource companies (mining, agriculture and infrastructure). The company utilizes project financing techniques to create private equity financial instruments and works with investors of all types. We have a portafolio of clean production proposals (solid waste, solar & small hydros) which are CO2 neutral and have strong business inclusive components which are key components to project success. Current Project We create biomass to energy projects to convert organic waste into energy where there are instable competitive energy supplies. The plant organic waste is converted into electricity/heat & biofuels to produce Co-Generation CHP Energy. Power is sold in a PPA and water & heat is used in the process and converted in refrigeration storage energy. Board Members Their board members have more than 40 years of experience in the power & oil/gas, agro-industrial & renewable energy industries in Latin America and the USA creating value through project financed deals (more than $500 million) in a bi-cultural environment. Extensive experience in dealing with Latin American governments and regulatory agencies including environmental permitting and investment approvals.
