About Us: Established on 20 September 1983, the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) was founded under the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Energy. Over the years, BIOTEC has evolved into a key player in shaping the scientific landscape in Thailand. Following the creation of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) on 30 December 1991, BIOTEC seamlessly transitioned into one of NSTDA's prestigious national research centers. Operating beyond the conventional boundaries of civil service and state enterprises, BIOTEC continues to be a pioneering force in scientific innovation.
