Biotechnology Society - Bitsoc

The biotechnology Society of the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka was established under the approval of the 93rd council meeting of the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka in 2009. Objectives of the Society : To promote awareness of biotechnology among university students, academic staff, scientists and the general public To promote research culture in biotechnology by sharing facilities and technical knowledge of the department with other scientists To link biotechnology research with entrepreneurship To enhance partnerships with industry and other government / private organizations who have roles in biotechnology To make contributions using biotechnological strategies to solve national problems.
