BIS Education Group came into being in 1995 as a pioneering institution for learning in Gurgaon. The idea of establishing a Training institution in the State of Haryana has its origin in the observations of the UGC Committee under the Chairmanship of BIS which observed that “the Education system in Gurgaon is well established and has the potential of growing into a full-fledged Computer Training Institute.” Some of the functions to be performed by the BIS Education Group as per Act are : To provide for instruction and research in branches of knowledge technology, vocation and profession as the BIS Education Group may deem necessary of proper; To prescribe courses of study for degrees, diplomas, certificates or any other purpose; To hold examinations and confer degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions; To determine the manner of education system so as to organize academic programmers; To associate and institutions therewith interlocking system in the field of education. The major objective of BIS Education Group is to provide educational opportunities to a larger segment of the population, particularly disadvantaged groups such as people living in rural and remote areas, women, in service people and so on. Institute of Studies and Continuing Education with a view to strengthen and achieve proper coordination among the education training resources and to serve the people of State a uniform high quality education. Education in accordance with the suggestion of the Education Council, It evolved and developed its inception and now in Gurgaon, it has a good infrastructure of its own. It houses all the administrative departments of the holds counselling sessions for different courses it runs.
