Bizer Bateekh started as a graduation project back in 2006. It was based on a personal observation of how the current growth of communication, economics, and social aspects into a global & a worldwide scale, made us forget and turn our backs to our identity and to what binds us with our culture. In a world ruled by culturally-unrelevant Hallmark cards, the aim of this graduation project was to put back fun, laughter and silliness into our lives through creating social expression products that celebrates and tributes our culture, our traditions and our daily life in our way, in our language! And that is where the name comes from; literally it means "watermelon seeds", a traditional Arabic snack that is mainly consumed in gatherings, festivals or any sort of entertaining activities. Bizer Bateekh was just the perfect name for such a project as a modern take on our culture and folklore, offering richly colorful graphics that reflect the unique taste and style of the sender/user in Arabic.
