BKT has created Tomorrow Water Process (TWP) to minimize environmental impacts while maximizing economic benefits from the wastewater. TWP aims to reduceoperation cost from energy savings, sludge volume reductions, and elimination of chemical use. In addition to these savings, TWP also generates profits in the form of carbon credit and advanced energy production with thermal hydrolysis and anaerobic digestion technologies. TWP's core bio filtration technology is able to divert carbon sources for the maximum generation of biogas, overcoming a stringent range of Carbon-to-Nitrogen ratio in its wastewater treatment process with Anammox bacteria. Every single unit of technology is important, but a well-organized and well-balanced process is the most important key factor to realize our mission. To facilitate this vision of sustainable development, BKT has formally registered Tomorrow Water Initiative(#12177) to UN SDGs Partnership and TWP was also accepted as an official SDGs model at 2016 UN ECOSOC High-level segment.
