Black & White Foundation is a social organization with national outlook. It is non-partisan, non-religion, not discriminative in whatever nature and works to promote the spirit of volunteerism and enhancing commitment to nationhood. Black and White Foundation is a legally registered social organization that seeks to sensitize young volunteers on the need for enhancement of civic responsibility to create a deep sense of nationhood and responsiveness among them. Through the Foundation’s slogan “A Call to Serve”, it exist to create a sense of purpose in the youths of Kenya through its vast programs geared towards growing better and robust individuals in matters of service to society and the nation.#Vision Enlightened, Responsible and Engaged Citizenry (EREC)#Mission Our mission is to strengthen Corporates’ understanding and appreciation of creating a culture of civic engagement with a particular emphasis on the importance of a nurturing and supporting an enlightened, responsible and engaged citizenry within their respective institutions, organizations and centers. The Foundation endeavors to revitalize the spirit of volunteerism in the youth which through the well-established reward scheme based on value points whereby the more community projects an individual participates in, the more value points they earn. This system will help in the awarding of internships, linkages and great exchange programs to open up the horizons of the young people much more plausibly. Our Work The Foundation runs vibrant nationwide trainings and programs in partnership with a number of key stakeholders through the volunteerism spirit to foster and nurture wholesome young citizens including but not limited to causes such as; life skills coaching, career preparation training, First Aid trainings, ushering during public functions, crowd control and hospitality volunteer services, promotion of peace building and cohesion, peer education, survival skills, talent identification and promotion, camping and medical camps, developing response teams, voter participation and sensitization during elections and promotion of nationhood while saying no to corruption. Others include championing for a culture of civic engagement and active participation in all democratic processes including but not limited to civic education and awareness creation, voter registration, mobilizing the citizens to vote and participate in the voting process, promote peace, cohesion and integration through sound mechanisms and policy orientations and practices.
