From Founding to Future… Committed to providing exceptional healthcare, advocacy, and education, the Black Doctors Consortium (BDC) serves with empathy and care. Located in North Philadelphia at the Dr. Ala Stanford Center for Health Equity (ASHE) and NorthEast Philadelphia at ASHE Riverview (ASHE - Riverview), BDC provides both pediatric and adult primary care, behavioral health, gynecology, men’s health, and preventative vaccines for all ages. Under the visionary leadership BDC shifted the paradigm of the delivery of medical services and was recognized as a national model by the Assistant Secretary of Health at the forefront during this global pandemic. Because the need for expert care in vulnerable communities persisted long after pandemic the Dr. Ala Stanford Center for Health Equity was established in 2001. We recognize that equity in healthcare requires action and we continually work towards achieving that goal.
