Black Kat Theatre

Black Kat Theatre.definitely not your grandparent's theatre! Black Kat is an independent theatre company based in San Diego, CA. Focusing primarily on original works, Black Kat looks to challenge traditional perceptions of theatre by staging shows in alternative spaces & by keeping the running time down to around an hour. The Black Kat's goal is to use humor to entertain and enlighten audiences about current and political events. Black Kat also strives to promote a dialogue about contemporary culture through the content of our shows and the venues we perform in (i.e. pubs & coffee shops). We encourage our audiences to stick around after the show and talk about what they've seen with other audience members & the cast.
