Black Lite was established from day one on the basis of sustainable empowerment as we believe strongly in leaving a world for our children & their children that is habitable. Our key operating businesses include the following: Black Lite Consulting strategy consulting and general advice and support in relation to the Codes of Good Practice & strategies relating to Black Lite Coaching – executive & life coaching Black Lite Solar – a principal investor in the establishment of a local manufacturing facility for thin film CIGS solar panels, & a project developer in renewable energy We have an environmental clause in all our mandates that require meetings (where possible) not to be held during peak hour traffic & allow staff to work flexible hours We use public transport as far as possible We have planted 180 trees in Thembisa for all the furniture that we bought for our offices We do not receive our news papers delivered to the office instead we read all our newspaper publications online We email our invoices to our clients instead of printing & posting it Donated solar panels to Greenpeace Africa for COP 17 We, believe that a fundamental principle of an empowered business is one that not only views success through the prism of profit but also appreciates the need to focus on environmental sustainability while addressing transformation, climate change & renewable energy in an integrated manner.
