BlackSmith Studios is a boutique VFX, 3D Animation, Visualization & Post-Production studio. Founded in 2003, BSS started off as an interactive and real-time rendering development studio. It's primary product CarPortal is the world's first real-time, photo-realistic car customization tool. In 2006, a new Architectural visualization division was founded, with an emphasis on high end master-plan animations. Within a few years, BSS had become a major international player in this industry, with a client list that includes Disney, Emaar, Aramco to name a few. In 2008, BlackSmith Studios entered the VFX for TV & Film industry, and after amassing a world-class show reel, BSS is now considered a regional leader in this niche. This division has clients including all major ad agencies and brands such as Disney, Heineken, Smirnoff, HSBC and more. BlackSmith Studios was sold in 2012.
