In 1979, Ron Blauser purchased 207 acres of farm land near Galloway Rd and West Broad Street. Originally apart of Prairie Township, the site was annexed into the city of Columbus in 1998. Two years ago, 30.1 acres were sold to the City of Columbus Parks and Recreation – funded by the Clean Ohio Grant. The City has plans to put a new sq ft Super Recreation Center. Recently Ohio passed Issue 2 approving the construction of a new sq ft gambling casino by 2012. The old Delphi Plant located on 123 acre lot at West Broad St and Philipi Rd is the site for the new Penn National Gaming’s Hollywood Casino.This $400 million casino will sit less than 3 miles from the Blauser Farm site. We are currently seeking commercial re-zone. For the past 30 years this land has been farmed for agricultural purposes. But now with the growing developments around this site; Casino, Recreation Center plans, 3 immediate residential sub divisions in place, and growing commercial – now is the time to discuss development opportunities.
