Bliss - Locally Grown

BLISS started as a Micro SDGs community development project and has scaled up into a social enterprise registered in Zimbabwe as BLISS BOLETWA. For most people, when they hear "BLISS" the first thing that comes to mind is HAPPINESS. That's exactly what BLISS is all about because truly, one cannot be happy when hungry, undernourished or poor! BLISS empowers future young leaders and their immediate communities to participate towards the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)! It is a hands-on educational movement that nurtures children and their parents/guardians into proud sustainability stewards by encouraging them to innovatively grow fresh vegetables & fruits for improved social, economic and environmental outcomes. It promotes afforestation and organic food production through sustainable agricultural practices whilst championing nutritive and healthy diets from the grassroots level. BLISS is fighting the effects of overpopulation, unemployment and extreme poverty whilst building resilient communities against disasters. We encourage young learners to ideate and instill in them a spirit of innovativeness towards a better planet, better communities and better diets!
