Bloc Notes Music Publishing

Bloc Notes Music Publishing was founded by Diane Pinet, a member of the boards of SOCAN, Music Publishers Canada, Studio Bell, National Music Centre, CARAS/The JUNO Awards, PAN M 360, and several other committees. The Bloc Notes Music catalog is vast and diverse, spanning genres such as electronic, pop, country, folk, rock, hip-hop, and more. Its songwriters have penned hits for internationally renowned artists such as Faith Hill, Céline Dion, Garou, Marie-Mai. Bloc Notes Music is also known for its strong connections in both local and international markets, tying a strong bond with Warner Chappel Music France for the handling of their catalog on the Canadian market. In recent years, Bloc Notes Music has won Publisher of the Year at both the ADISQ and SOCAN galas. In 2021, Diane was honored with Music Publishers Canada (MPC/EMC)’s Lifetime Achievement Publishing Company Legacy Award, as well as APEM’s Christopher J. Reed Award, two notable acknowledgements of Diane’s lifelong commitment to creators, copyright, and the field of music publishing.
