Blockchain For Reconciliation

Blockchain for Reconciliation is a non-profit membership organization created in response to the 92nd call to action put forward by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Our goal is to promote Indigenous inclusion in the emerging tech space. We are non-partisan, blockchain agnostic, and we are not developing our own tech. We don't want to be in a position where we have a product to sell. We are strictly use case, and we're here to act as a filter level. No vaporware on stolen land. We believe that digital equity is the fastest route to overall equity. We very much want companies to start engaging with communities and building solutions together. But we also believe that it's very important that this happens on collaborative, mutually beneficial terms. This can't happen until communities know this tech exists, and how it works. And it can't happen unless tech companies are familiar with best practices in working with Indigenous communities. Thus our membership model: Membership is free for First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities via their band offices, economic development offices, or community organizations, as well as for foreign Indigenous communities and non-profits with aligning goals. To these organizations, we offer free executive education on blockchain technology, and free consulting from our advisory board whose backgrounds extend beyond blockchain into other branches of emerging tech, like AR/VR, Quantum computing, Cyber Security, AI and ASI. This is funded through a combination of private donations, and paid memberships. Paid memberships are available to for-profit Indigenous-owned corporations, where they receive the same benefits as community members for a fee. Paid memberships are also available to tech companies. Tech companies receive training on best practices for working with Indigenous communities, and help with the creation of a reconciliation mandate.
