Blue Cradle

Blue Cradle is a marine regeneration & ocean literacy NGO with the main objective to help marine ecosystems recover while promoting education. Our goal is to accompany, influence and transform the marine science and conservation sector in Aotearoa New Zealand, working with leading institutions and companies and partnering on interdisciplinary scientific research across the country and the Asia-Pacific region. Our goal is to inspire a new generation of marine stewards, scientists and ocean conservationists, while enhancing the general public's ocean literacy. Blue Cradle works supporting marine conservation and the regenerative blue economy in quest for ocean health impact solutions, and creating inspiring documentaries. We are aligned to the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030). Blue Cradle is based in Ōtautahi/Christchurch on the South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand (Te Waipounamu).
