Blue Letter Project

Blue Letter Project is a non-profit organization focusing on psychological accompaniment and research for left-behind children. There are 26.7 million left-behind children in China, whose parents work and live in other places for a living. Blue Letter trains volunteers to provide left-behind children with one-on-one long-term (more than one year) letter companionship, guiding them to grow up healthily and happily. Blue Letter has provided letter service to 300 schools in 26 provinces and cities in China, and sending and receiving more than letters. Until now, we have 76,180 registered volunteers and cover more than colleges and universities nationwide. Blue Letter came to the UK in 2020, supported by over 200 volunteers from more than 10 UK universities who have contributed more than volunteering hours to our cause. Blue Letter was awarded the "National Rural Left-behind Children Care Service and Rights Protection Demonstration Project" and recognized by the State Council Poverty Alleviation Office as one of the "50 Best Cases of Volunteer Poverty Alleviation" in 2019.
