Why Blue Veil? Blue, is the color of the sky, ocean, & twilight. The ancient Egyptians used lapis lazuli to represent heaven. Blue symbolizes the Virgin Mary. A pure blue is the color of inspiration, sincerity and the power of soul. Blue is the calming color. Dark blue is the color of truth and moderation. A blue iris means your friendship is very important to me. Blue gives a feeling of distance. Artists use it to to show perspective. This is a good way to understand the energy of the color blue - it allows us to look beyond and increase our perspective outward. It contains a cool vibration that is helpful to communication. The vibration if blue can be used to open energy flow where it is blocked. Using blue to relax will encourage feelings of communication and peace. Veil, is an article of clothing or cloth hanging that is intended to cover some part of the head or face, or an object of some significance.Today many people see a veil as an indicator that what ever is being veiled needs to be protected from outside influences because it is weak, unimportant, or should be controlled. For example there are people in the world who argue that women need to be veiled in order to protect them from men and their lusts. Or in a similar vein, there are people who see veils as a way to keep something secret, hidden, and untouched. Yet the truth is that such interpretations of veils are exactly opposite from what they really symbolize. The reason you veil something is because it is powerful and the veil is to protect those outside of it from the power beneath it.
