Bmg Mis

The system and software company, BMG MIS is known internationally as an authority in the field of information display systems. These display systems mainly utilise Liquid Crystal Displays, designed, developed and manufactured in the BMG MIS plant located in Ulm, Germany. Display manufacturing is supported by software development, for both display hardware functions and system applications, and support and maintenance services. The Liquid Crystal Displays manufactured by BMG MIS are available for sale in component form, complete information displays or in an intermediate stage of part assembly whichever is preferred. Liquid Crystal Displays are inherently low power devices, but traditionally require fluorescent or LED backlighting. A new generation of display systems using Cholesteric LCD (ChLCD) has been developed by BMG MIS, known as “Green Systems”. These are bistable devices and require no power to maintain their displayed image, just a few Watts for a few seconds whilst the message is being updated. Furthermore, these are reflective displays, requiring no backlighting and can be front lit by natural sources or by low power LED lights. ChLCDs are available in a number of monochrome colours which has led to the development of the Geameleon which uses a stack of 3 displays as the RGB components for a full colour display. The display panels may be tiled to produce a large area display ideally suited to the display of outdoor information in full colour.
