Bonhishikha Ltd, is a feminist organisation that is committed to promoting gender equality and ending gender-based parity in our world. With its bold new strategies to advance gender equality, it creates spaces encouraging freedom of expression. Bonhishikha promotes the impetus for positive change and improvement while bringing people together and facilitating discussions. Initially founded to initiate and facilitate conversations around issues related to women’s empowerment, all Bonhishikha programmes now endeavour to promote equitable and humanitarian treatment of all people, regardless of their gender and sexual identities. With a combined work experience of over 15 years in developing strategies, GAP analysis, conducting research and facilitating workshops/training/interactive sessions on communication, behavior change, leadership and change management, the Bonhishikha team brings more to offer. It uses a gender lens in all its approaches and tools. The sessions are designed to challenge gender barriers, conditioning and societal norms around power dynamics that impact basic human rights. It also uses theatrical performances as a tool to generate and encourage critical conversation around gender and sexual issues. Bonishikha also organizes fundraising events and shows to support ethnic, racial, gender, and sexual minorities in times of need. Bonhishikha, till date, has provided services to both corporate and non-government organizations as well as educational institutions aiming to promote a conducive environment for diversity and tolerance.
