Bookelaar Enterprises

Bookelaar Enterprises is a company which was founded in 1935 by Laurentius Bookelaar. He owned a factory in which bicycles, custom made trailers and custom made iron articles for all kinds of businesses were produced. His son Jacobus Bookelaar was in charge of the sales and his good nose for business made him realise that there was more to sell than only bicycles and trailers. He started selling all goods that he felt were needed by the people and started a shop at the Hulsdonkestraat in Roosendaal, Holland. From here he sold household appliances, luxury articles, cars, parts and ofcourse his fathers bicycles and custom made iron products. Little by little the business expanded. First from Holland to Belgium. Followed by Germany and Portugal, and in the end even outside Europe. By the early 1970´s his products could be found all over the world. By that time he also owned his fathers bicycle factory which he expanded into a large multinational. With the ever changing demand of products, the range changed over the years. When back in the 1980´s fitness was a upcoming phenomenon most of the capacity was put into producing Fitness articles, and the import and sale of Fitness related articles. Our speciality nowadays is still selling Fitness related articles such as powerplates, freeweights, machines for musscle building and power assisted gym equipment.
