Booklinks Qld Inc

Who Are We BookLinks (QLD) Inc is a not for profit, incorporated association that champions the development in Queensland of a centre for children’s and youth literature. We are geographically diverse and our Children’s Literacy hub is based at The Queensland State Library located in South Brisbane's Culture Centre Precinct. BookLinks offers events, services, workshops, exhibitions, and other literacy activities for children, young adults, teachers, librarians, parents, publishers to established and emerging authors and illustrators throughout QLD. BookLinks partners with organisations aligned with our aspirations in Children’s Literature. Our partners include the Queensland Writers Centre (QWC), Brisbane Writers Festival, Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) and StoryArts Festival Ipswich. BookLinks Patron is Jackie French AM, Australian Children’s Laureate 2014 – 2015. Our Vision Develop generations of literate children and young people who appreciate all forms of story and how story is created. Our Mission Our mission is to link people, diverse groups and creative industry affiliations throughout the community with stories and experiences to build literacy and learning, so as to enrich lives of children and youth.
