BORDA (The Bremen Overseas Research and Development Association) West and Central Asia Regional Office is a non-governmental organization based in Amman. BORDA WESCA works to creating and facilitating access to basic services such as energy supply, sanitation, wastewater management and water provision. while maintaining a safe environment. Currently active in Jordan, Afghanistan and Northern Iraq, BORDA collaborates actively with local communities, governments, UN agencies, INGOs and the private sector, committed to ensuring access to vital resources and supporting holistic approaches on policy formulation, participative urban planning processes as well as infrastructure development. In this respect, BORDA WESCA foster capacity development and dialogue between all the civil society actors: the private with the public sector, the national with the international community and, the general public with the scientific institutions. BORDA participates to addressing global challenges and works towards the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Clean Water and Sanitation, Sustainable Communities and Cities and Partnerships for the Goals.
