Formed in 1975, Botswana Life Insurance Limited (BLIL) has a proud 45+ year history as Botswana’s oldest and only home-grown life insurer. Our estimated market share of over 69% has been built over time through hard work, resilience and a keen interest in sustainability. The Company is currently managing a file size of over policies and an Annual Recurring Premium of P1.6 billion. We are proud of the contributions towards employment creation, currently employing over 697 direct agents, 353 sub-agents (employed by brokers) and 342 employees. With over 11,658 people receiving their monthly pensions from Botswana Life, the Company is definitely amongst the largest, if not the leading payer, of occupational pension benefits in Botswana.
